Trump supporter vs liberal media.

Closer look:
• He uses NYT as a “confession document”.
“Look, even your own top people admit Trump failed and China won.”

• He uses the NYT author’s resume as a “seal of authenticity”.
This is Biden’s own former China hand talking.
So the narrative gets official flavor.

• He connects NYT’s op ed to his older videos about Japan, G2, US decline.
The meme becomes:
“I called it years ago, NYT is late to the party.”
That is a classic propaganda trick.
Take a Western mainstream piece,
reframe it as evidence that “even they now agree with us”.
So in practice, this episode does three things at once:
Blackens Trump
He is pictured as impulsive, ignorant, strategically blind,
hurting America and feeding China.

Blackens America as a whole
Democracy becomes a circus.
Education becomes a joke.
Voters become NPCs.
The country is described as unable to produce talent or long term strategy.
Polishes the CCP narrative
China is patient, strategic, quietly preparing for 7 or 8 years.
China holds rare earths, medical precursors, key materials.
Fighting an economic war against your main supplier is “invading Russia in winter”, that is suicide.

All of this is wrapped around and supported by
a New York Times op ed that he pretends to despise,
but actually uses as his main evidence.
