Normally you’d take the law and penal code as frame of reference, but when you word it in such an infantile way, what does that even mean「 悪いこと」?

ひさしぶりに朝からソワソワしてた、今日、11月19日。
仕事のことや諸々一切をアタマから切り離して、突撃。

6年ぶりの再会。

そして、今回のShow / GIGは、Eye to the telescopeが発売されて20年、それに合わせたReissue盤が今年発売されて、北米ツアーに続いて来日。会場のコットンクラブも同じく20周年。

Eye to the telescopeから続々とプレイされると、もう泣いちゃうかもなぁと覚悟を決めた突撃。

理由は（正確には19年前となる）2006年の渋谷 CLUB QUATTROで感動した当時のあのKTが、約20年経った現在のKTとが交差して、”Eye to the Telescope”の曲を20周年で歌っているんだ」と思うと、アタマの中で、かなり胸熱なストーリーになるに決まっているから。歳を重ねて涙腺も緩くなっているしね（苦笑）。

Other side of the world, Stoppin’ the love, Heal over, Black horse and the cherry treeと心の中のリクエスト曲はやってくれ、おまけにカヴァーソング1曲に、絶対演るであろうSuddenly I Seeで大盛り上がり。

スコティッシュゆえ、ジャパニーズウィスキーのことも”持ち上げてくれ”、MCはこれまで通りの楽しいつなぎ目だった。

感謝だ、KT、ありがとう！また、すぐに会おう！

Today, November 19th, I woke up with that familiar, nervous anticipation buzzing all morning. I successfully switched off from work and all other distractions to dive into this long-awaited evening.

It was a beautiful reunion after six years. The timing was utterly cosmic: this show celebrates the 20th anniversary of KT Tunstall's debut, Eye to the Telescope (coinciding with the recent reissue), and the venue itself, the Tokyo Cotton Club, is also celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Walking in, I was prepared for an emotional breakdown. The reason? The powerful thought that the KT who completely wowed me at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO back in 2006 (19 years ago, to be precise) was somehow converging with the KT of today—singing those Eye to the Telescope tracks two decades later. That convergence, that palpable storyline across two decades, was guaranteed to be intensely moving. My tear ducts are certainly looser with age, I admit (wry smile).

She delivered every track I dearly wanted to hear: "Other Side of the World," "Stoppin’ the Love," "Heal Over," and "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree." Plus, a great cover song and the absolute, guaranteed showstopper, "Suddenly I See," which brought the house down.

Ever the Scot, she generously gave a shout-out to—and lavishly praised—Japanese whisky, and her stage banter was as warm, engaging, and delightfully seamless as always.

Thank you, KT. What a night to be truly present for. Let’s not leave it another six years!
