This video is from last year, when music critic Kim Young-dae openly took Min Hee-jin’s side right after her press conference and criticized ILLIT and HYBE without evidence.
By using his status as a critic, he made his biased commentary appear neutral, which contributed to certain artists receiving public criticism.
He became well-known in the English-speaking world through BTS, and that fame was what earned him authority in Korea as well.
But even after the court ruling, he has not issued any apology or correction regarding the baseless criticisms he made in the past.

During the frenzy last year, he even held a one-on-one talk show with Min Hee-jin and appeared on various programs where he couldn’t hide his anger.
