アッラーは最初、すべてを無から創造された。
then made for His creatures laws and systems that no one can change except Him.
そして、被造物のために法と秩序を定められ、
アッラー以外は誰もそれを変えることができない。
And when He wills to change anything in that system, He changes it as He pleases…
アッラーがその秩序の一部を変えようと望まれるとき、
かれはその通りに変えられる。
just as He created Jesus (peace be upon him) from a mother without a father…
イーサーを父なしに母から創造されたように。
and made him speak in the cradle…
そして彼を揺りかごの中で語らせたように。
and made the staff of Moses (peace be upon him) a living serpent…
ムーサー（彼に平安を）の杖を生きた蛇に変えたように。
and when he struck the sea with it, it split into paths through which he and his people crossed.
その杖で海を打つと海は裂け、
ムーサーと彼の民はその道を通って渡った。
He also split the moon for the Seal of the Messengers, Muhammad (peace be upon him)…
アッラーは最後の使徒ムハンマド（彼に平安を）のために月を裂いた。
made trees give him greetings as he passed by…
木々が彼のそばを通ると挨拶した。
and made animals testify to his prophethood with voices that people could hear…
動物が聞こえる声で彼の預言者性を証言した。
saying: “I testify that you are the Messenger of Allah.”
「私はあなたがアッラーの使徒であると証言する」と。
And he was taken on the Buraq by night…
そしてムハンマド（彼に平安を）は「ブルーク」に乗って夜のうちに運ばれた。
from al-Masjid al-Harām to al-Masjid al-Aqṣā…
マスジド・ハラームからマスジド・アクサーまで。
then ascended to the heavens with the angel Gabriel…
その後、ジブリール天使と共に天へ昇った。
until he rose above the heavens, where Allah spoke to him directly and enjoined the prayer upon him.
天の上へ到達し、そこでアッラーが直接語りかけ、礼拝を命じられた。
He then returned to al-Masjid al-Harām on earth…
そして地上のマスジド・ハラームへ戻った。
and saw on his way the inhabitants of every heaven — all of this occurring in a single night before dawn.
途中で各天にいる者たちを見た。
これらすべては夜明け前の一夜のうちに起こった。
The story of al-Isrā’ and al-Mi‘rāj is well-known…
イスラーとミウラージュの物語は広く知られており、
in the Qur’an, the prophetic traditions, and the books of history.
クルアーン、預言者の伝承、歴史書に記されている。
Among the attributes of Allah, the Exalted, are hearing and sight, knowledge and power, and will.
崇高なるアッラーの属性には、
聞くこと、見ること、知識、力、意志がある。
He hears and sees everything; nothing veils His hearing or sight.
アッラーはすべてを聞き、すべてを見ておられ、
かれの聴覚や視覚を遮るものはない。
He knows what is in the wombs, what the hearts conceal, what has been, and what will be.
アッラーは、胎内のもの、胸中の秘密、過去にあったこと、未来に起こることをすべて知っている。
And He is the All-Powerful; when He wills something, He says to it, “Be,” and it is.
アッラーは全能であり、
かれが何かを望むと、「あれ」と言えば、それは存在する。
Among His attributes… is speech—He speaks whatever He wills, whenever He wills.
アッラーの属性の中には「言語」（カラーム）があり、
かれは望むとき、望むものを語られる。
He spoke to Moses (peace be upon him)…
アッラーはムーサーに語られ、
and He spoke to the Seal of the Messengers, Muhammad (peace be upon him).
最後の使徒ムハンマドにも語られた。
The Qur’an is the speech of Allah—its letters and its meanings—revealed to His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him).
クルアーンはアッラーの言葉であり、
その文字も意味もアッラーの言語であり、
ムハンマドに啓示されたものである。
It is an attribute of Allah and not created, contrary to what the misguided Mu‘tazilah claimed.
それはアッラーの属性であり、
誤ったムʿタズィラ派が主張したように「創造されたもの」ではない。
