🟡福井県 三方五湖🟡
福井県の若狭湾に面した三方五湖（みかたごこ）は、国の登録湿地にも選ばれた美しい5つの湖（三方湖、水月湖、菅湖、久々子湖、日向湖）の総称です。

湖ごとに塩分濃度が異なり（汽水湖・淡水湖）、珍しい「階層湖」構造を持つ水月湖は、7万年以上連続する年縞（ねんこう）堆積物で世界的に有名で、地球の気候変動研究に大きく貢献しています。

湖畔にはレインボーライン山頂公園や梅丈岳があり、絶景と足湯が楽しめます。

2023年には「水月湖ボートツアー」も始まり、神秘的な湖面を間近で体感できます。

自然・歴史・科学が融合した貴重なエリアです。

🟡 Mikata Five Lakes, Fukui Prefecture 🟡
The Mikata Five Lakes (Mikatagoko), located along Wakasa Bay in Fukui Prefecture, are a group of five beautiful lakes—Lake Mikata, Lake Suigetsu, Lake Suga, Lake Kugushi, and Lake Hiruga—designated as a nationally registered wetland.

Each lake has a different salinity level (brackish or freshwater), and Lake Suigetsu is especially famous worldwide for its rare “stratified lake” structure. Its continuous varved sediments, spanning more than 70,000 years, have greatly contributed to global climate change research.

Around the lakes, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views and footbaths at the Rainbow Line Summit Park and Mt. Baijō.

In 2023, the “Lake Suigetsu Boat Tour” was launched, allowing people to experience the mysterious surface of the lake up close.

This is a precious area where nature, history, and science come together in harmony.

🟡 Prefeitura de Fukui – Mikata Goko 🟡Os Cinco Lagos de Mikata (Mikata Goko), localizados na Baía de Wakasa, na província de Fukui, são um conjunto de cinco belos lagos — Mikata, Suigetsu, Suga, Kugushi e Hiruga — reconhecidos como área úmida registrada pelo governo japonês.

Cada lago possui diferentes níveis de salinidade (lagos de água doce e lagos de água salobra).

O Lago Suigetsu é especialmente famoso por sua rara estrutura de “lago em camadas” e pelos depósitos de varvas (camadas anuais de sedimentos) que se acumularam de forma contínua por mais de 70 mil anos, tornando-se referência mundial em pesquisas sobre mudanças climáticas da Terra.

Às margens dos lagos, encontram-se o Parque no topo da Rainbow Line e o Monte Baijōdake, onde é possível apreciar vistas panorâmicas e relaxar em um banho de pés.

Em 2023, começou o Passeio de barco no Lago Suigetsu, permitindo vivenciar de perto a atmosfera misteriosa da superfície da água.
