「ダンスとは何か」という問いを必然的に内包するコンテンポラリーダンスの実践には、そこに至る複雑な歴史的経緯があります。そして、現代のアーティストたちもその歴史の流れと無縁ではありません。この講座では西洋舞踊史をたどりながら、芸術やダンスをめぐるさまざまな考え方を美学的観点から整理していきます。また、私自身も振付家・ダンサーですので、座学だけでなく自分の経験や実践的手法も積極的に織り込んでいくつもりです。ダンスをめぐる大きな流れを意識することで、コンテンポラリーダンスという一見混沌とした探究の営みの中で自らの立ち位置を明確にし、「なぜ自分はダンスをしているのか」を見つめ直すきっかけになればいいなと思っています。

2001年より2019年までダンサーとして北米や欧州で活動。ヨーテボリオペラ・ダンスカンパニー、スウェーデン王立バレエなどに所属しマッツ・エックら国際的な振付家の作品にて主要なパートを務める。2018年にはストックホルム芸術大学修士課程（振付）を修了し、近年の振付作品は『Trace(s)』（2017）、『Pure Core』（2020）などがある。2022年より現在に至るまでは、民俗学における「をどり」概念を参考にして、不安に抗する祈りとして地面を押し続けるパフォーマンス『Wound and Ground』を豊橋や京都を始め各地で上演し、その都度新たなヴァージョンとして更新し続けている。現在は芸術文化観光専門職大学准教授としてダンス教育ならびに美学研究にも従事している。https://t.co/VRYYLJ4QaF
