会期中に各会場（愛知芸術文化センター、愛知県陶磁美術館、瀬戸市のまちなか）で計５回実施しました。ツアーではキュレーターとコーディネーターが、自身が担当したアーティストの作品制作の背景や、展示や鑑賞のポイントなどを、ツアー形式でご紹介しました。

We are pleased to share a look back at tours at Aichi Arts Center. 💌
During Aichi Triennale 2025, we organized 5 guided tours in which curators and coordinators provided in-depth explanations of the artworks.
The tours were held at each venue—including the Aichi Arts Center, the Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum, and Seto city —introducing the backgrounds of the artworks by the artists they worked with, as well as highlights unique to each location.

空気を読む (kuuki wo yomu) means “to read the room” or “to sense the atmosphere.” This uniquely Japanese expression describes the ability to pick up on unspoken social cues, understand the mood of a situation, and act appropriately without being told explicitly.

Literally “to read the air,” this concept is crucial in Japanese culture, which values indirect communication and social harmony. Being able to 空気を読む means understanding what’s appropriate in a given situation without explicit instruction.

A person who can’t read the atmosphere is called 空気が読めない人 (kuuki ga yomenai hito) or abbreviated as KY, which is considered a social weakness in Japan.

This phrase is essential for understanding Japanese social dynamics and communication styles.
