私たちは2020年から、ゲーム業界の“王冠の宝石”ともいえる都市系オープンワールドに挑戦し始めました。高品質なストーリー表現、より独自性のあるアートスタイル、そしてゲームプレイでも新しい突破口を持つ、現実の都市を題材にしたオープンワールド作品を作りたいと考えていました。その開発コードネームは PJSH(Project SH)でした。
Since 2020, we have been exploring the "crown jewel" of the gaming industry, the open-world city genre. We aimed to create an open-world project set in a realistic urban environment, featuring a high-quality narrative, a unique art style, and innovative gameplay, codenamed PJSH (Project SH).

しかし、私たちの構想はあまりにも壮大で、チームは最初から全力で大規模に動き出してしまい、私たちが一貫して大切にしてきた「最小のプロトタイプから検証を始める」という How miHoYo makes games の基準に反してしまいました。その結果は当然で、PJSH プロジェクトは2022年末に解散することになりました。
However, our vision was too grand, and the team jumped in full force right away, going against the "How miHoYo make games" principle we've always followed, starting with the smallest prototype to test ideas. The result, as expected, was clear: the PJSH team was unbanded at the end of 2022.

2023年末になり、蔡(浩宇)の頭の中で都市オープンワールドのビジョンが徐々に明確になり、私たちはようやく「すごいプロジェクト」を作ることではなく、「本当はどんな作品を創りたいのか」を整理できました。
It wasn't until the end of 2023 that the vision for the open-world city began to take shape in Tsai's mind (Remark: Hugh Tsai = Cai Haoyu). We finally figured out what we wanted, rather than just making an impressive project.

今回は原点に立ち返り、ゲームづくり本来の楽しさを味わいながら、自分たちの好きな作品を作ります。皆さんにも気に入っていただけることを願っています。
This time, we're returning to our original creative intent, enjoying the true fun of making games, and focusing on creating something we love. We hope you will like it too.

ご挨拶

“有田匡 作品展 Forest in my dream / Life needs death 2”
をご覧いただき、心より御礼申し上げます。
　2018年に同名のタイトルで展覧会をして以来7年ぶりの作品展になります。
2019年以降、色々な事情で絵を描くことを全くしなくなり、一時はこのまま元に戻ることはないだろうと思った時期もありました。
　それでも昨年春より表現する気持が帰ってきたようで、少しずつ新しい作品を描いてみることにしました。
　今は以前とは何か違うものを自分自身の中に感じ、それを外に描くことに喜びを感じています。
　このように今回の展覧会は、自分にとっていつもより少しだけ意味深いものであるように思います。また、それを皆さんと分かち合えることに大きな喜びを感じます。
　近年、人類による地球環境の破壊に対する意識は高まり自然保護・環境保全を志すことを奇異の目で見ることも少なくなったと感じます。それは、社会的なissuesに関して大きな前進と言えるのではないでしょうか。
　しかし一方では、今現在いくつかの国々においては逆方向に進む動きすら見られますし、何よりも野生の動植物の種の減少は著しく何度目かの大絶滅期に入ったと考えられます。それもその原因の大部分は人間によるものだと。
　そのような現実を目の当たりにする時、私達は何をすれば良いのでしょうか。
　思いを寄せていただきながら、動植物の姿を見て、またこの作品展をご覧いただければ幸いです。

Greetings

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting the exhibition "Tada Masu Arita Exhibition Forest in my dream / Life needs death 2".

This is my first exhibition in seven years since the one with the same title in 2018.
Since 2019, due to various circumstances, I completely stopped painting, and there were times when I thought I would never return to it.
However, since last spring, the feeling of expression seems to have returned, and I've gradually started to create new works.
Now, I feel something different within myself compared to before, and I find joy in expressing it through my art.
Therefore, I feel that this exhibition holds a slightly deeper meaning for me than usual. I also feel great joy in being able to share it with all of you.

In recent years, awareness of environmental destruction by humans has increased, and I feel that looking at nature conservation and environmental protection with a strange eye has become less common. Isn't this a great step forward regarding social issues?
However, on the other hand, movements in the opposite direction are even being seen in some countries today, and above all, the decrease in the number of wild plant and animal species is remarkable, and it is believed that we have entered another great extinction period. And that the cause of this is largely due to humans.
When we witness such realities, what should we do?
I hope that while reflecting on these thoughts, you will look at the figures of plants and animals, and view this exhibition.
