英検1級面接で満点を取るためのコツ

スピーチで後が続かない、自分が次に何を言ったらいいのか分からない、という悩みはないだろうか。

スピーチでは「客観的なデータの後に自分の意見を一言添える」だけで一気に自然さが増す。
昔、自分の英語が robotic（機械的）だと言われることがあった。なぜかは分からなかったが、今思えばスピーチでは事実だけ伝えることに夢中になって満足してしまい、自分の意見を挟む余裕がなかったからだと思う。

ここで「自分の意見」というのは I think で文を始めることではない。

悪い例
I think Japan’s population is rapidly aging. The percentage of elderly people has reached nearly 30 percent according to Japanese government.
（このデータを言えた達成感で、その後の展開が想像できず英語が口から出てこない）

良い例
Japan’s population is rapidly aging, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, because it places a growing burden on the working population.

この “which is quite concerning” の一言で「私はこのことを深刻に受け止めています」という姿勢が伝わる。
さらに、「なぜconcerningなのか」を説明する責任がここで生まれるので、そのまま because に自然につながる。

私はデータ（facts and data）を言った後は、特に必要を感じなくても

・which is interesting
・which is good
・which is great
・which is bad
・which is concerning

のように短く付け足すようにしている。

言わなくても分かるだろう、をやめて
, which is [価値判断を表す形容詞]を加える。

自分の輪郭を誤って肥大させる、
静かな毒のようなものだ。

自信と混同されやすく、
