子供と魔王3
もう少し歩くと、鎧を着たような潤沢な姿の子供たちが、興奮した様子で魔王に向かって駆け寄ってきた。
「魔王様だ!!」
「うわぁ、魔王様が私たちを見た！！」
子供たちの歓声が草原に響き、魔王は一瞬目を細め、彼らが怪我をしないよう静かに手を挙げて落ち着かせた。「お主らが妾を好きなのは本当に気持ち良いことだが、お主らがもし怪我をしたら国家の損失だ。ただ子供として今現在を享受し、肉体的だけでなく精神的に正しく成長することを妾は願うだけだ」
その言葉は子供たちには難しいものだったが、魔王の声には優しい響きが込められていた。
（子供たちがこんな言葉を理解することはできないが）そんな思いをする私を魔王は気づいたのか、軽く微笑みながら言った。
「お世辞でも言っておくのも悪くない。それが私の責務でもあるから」
その微笑みは、角の影に隠れた優しさを静かに露わにし、子供たちはさらに彼女に寄り添った。一人の子供が魔王の裾を掴み、
「もっと話してください！」
とせがむと、魔王はしゃがみ込み、草原の花を指さして小さな物語を語り始めた。彼女の存在は、子供たちの無垢な喜びを映す鏡のようで、遠くの城が陽光に輝く中、この平和な一幕が永遠に続くかのように感じられた。私はその光景を眺め、心の奥で魔王の意外な優しさに静かな感動を覚えた。
A bit further along, children clad in armor-like, vibrant attire came running toward the Demon Lord with excitement.
“It's the Demon Lord!!”
“Wow, the Demon Lord is looking at us!!”
Their cheers echoed across the meadow, and the Demon Lord narrowed her eyes slightly, raising her hand quietly to calm them lest they hurt themselves.
“It's truly heartwarming that you like me so much, but if you were to get injured, it would be a loss to the nation. I only wish for you to enjoy your childhood now, growing not just physically but mentally in the right way.”
(Though the children couldn't understand such words),
the Demon Lord seemed to notice my thought and smiled lightly.
“It's not bad to offer flattery now and then. It's part of my duty as well.”
That smile revealed a hidden gentleness in the shadow of her horns, and the children drew even closer. When one child tugged at her hem and begged,
“Tell us more!”,
she crouched down, pointing to a flower in the meadow, and began a small tale. Her presence mirrored the children's innocent joy, and in the sunlight gleaming on the distant castle, this peaceful moment felt as if it could last forever. Watching the scene, I felt a quiet admiration for the Demon Lord's unexpected kindness deep in my heart.

子供と魔王２
彼女は子供たちに囲まれ、穏やかな視線を注ぎながら、静かに言葉を続けた。
「これらの脆弱な生物はいつか国の礎として発展するだろう。妾の楽しみは、彼らが成長してまた別の生命を宿し、大地を潤すことだ。どうか彼らが私が経験した痛みと傷痕を体験せずに幸せになることを願うだけだ」その声は戦場の荒々しさとは裏腹に、優しく響き、子供たちの笑顔を一層輝かせた。魔王の角が陽光にきらめき、彼女の黒い衣装が風にそよぐ中、子供たちはさらに彼女に寄り添い、武勇談をせがむ。一人の子供が目をキラキラさせて尋ねた。
「魔王様、痛みってどんなの？ 僕たちも強くなるために知りたいよ！」
魔王は小さく微笑み、手を伸ばしてその子の頭を撫でた。
「それは、戦いの果てに残る影じゃ。だが、汝らは知る必要はない。この平和な大地で、ただ健やかに育つがよい」
彼女の言葉には、過去の苦しみが静かに滲み、しかしそれを子供たちに背負わせまいとする優しさが宿っていた。城の庭園は、彼女の存在で満ち、子供たちの歓声が遠くまで広がった。彼女はそんな光景を眺め、心の奥でこの瞬間が永遠に続けばと願うのだった。
Surrounded by the children, she cast a gentle gaze upon them and continued quietly,
“These fragile beings will one day become the foundation upon which the nation flourishes. My joy lies in watching them grow, bear new life, and nourish the land. I only pray that they may find happiness without enduring the pains and scars I have known.”
Her voice, in contrast to the ferocity of the battlefield, resonated with tenderness, brightening the children's smiles even further. As her horns glimmered in the sunlight and her black attire swayed in the wind, the children drew closer, begging for tales of heroism. One child, eyes sparkling, asked,
“Your Majesty, what kind of pain? We want to know so we can be strong too!”
The Demon Lord smiled faintly, reaching out to pat the child's head.
“It is the shadow left at the end of battle. But thou needst not know it. Grow hale and hearty upon this peaceful earth.”
Her words carried the subtle echo of past suffering, yet they held a kindness that spared the children from its burden. The castle garden brimmed with her presence, and the children's cheers echoed far and wide. In her heart, she wished this moment could last forever.
