初めて論文を投稿したとき、返ってきたのは major revision。
コメントの多さに、正直かなりへこんだ。

一生懸命書いたのに、ここまでダメ出しされるのか。

そう思いながらも、引き下がれないから、1つずつコメントと向き合っていった。

すると途中から、
「あ、自分の視野が広がってるな」
「多角的に考えられるようになってきてるな」
「この論文への洞察が前より深くなってるな」
と実感する瞬間が何度もあった。

査読はボランティア。
忙しい本務の合間に、断ることもできた依頼を受けて、
自分の論文のために時間を割いて読んでくれている。

「厳しいコメント」じゃなくて、
「論文と自分のレベルを引き上げるためのコメント」なんだと思えたとき、
自然と感謝の気持ちが出てきた。

査読対応は、感謝から始まる。
