If you think you've seen strange animation, you probably haven't met this one. Directed by Keita Kurosaka, Mochibei is a micro-movie/experimental short, clocking in at not even a minute, but it doesn't waste a second. (So yes, this is the entire anime video.)

It's a grotesque and hypnotic horror-animation that's more scream than story. Expect some rough, disturbing imagery of a rage-filled protagonist smashing himself through some kind of personal hell.

It's… different,… but probably the perfect snapshot of avant-garde independent anime, lol.
