夜の客人1
彼女はワイングラスをそっとテーブルに置き、壁の古びた時計に目をやった。
「もうすぐ、お客様が参る時間だね」
その声は部屋の薄暗い空気を優しく震わせ、キャンドルの炎が彼女の黒いドレスに淡い光を投げかけた。蜘蛛の巣が天井から垂れ下がる中、彼女はゆっくりと席を離れ、何かを準備するように奥の棚へと歩を進めた。棚から古い瓶を取り出し、中の液体を小さなグラスに注ぐその仕草は、まるで儀式のように厳かだった。部屋の空気が少し重くなり、私の胸に静かな緊張が広がった。お客様とは誰なのか――彼女の神秘的な微笑みが、その答えをそっと隠しているようだった。準備を終えた彼女は、グラスをテーブルに置き、私を振り返って言った。
「あなたも一緒に待っててちょうだい。お客様は特別な方よ」
その言葉に、部屋の蜘蛛の巣が微かに揺れ、遠くから足音のようなものが聞こえてきた。キャンドルの光が彼女の顔を照らし、彼女の瞳に映る夜の闇が、来るべき客人への期待を静かに語っていた。私は席に座ったまま、彼女の優雅な動きを見つめ、心の奥でこの夜の秘密に引き込まれていくのを感じた。お客様の到来が、この部屋の空気を一変させる予感が、ひたひたと近づいていた。

She gently placed the wine glass on the table and glanced at the old wall clock.
“It’s almost time for our guest to arrive.”
Her voice softly vibrated through the dim air of the room, where candle flames cast a faint glow on her black dress. Amid the spiderwebs dangling from the ceiling, she slowly rose from her seat and moved toward the shelf in the back, as if to prepare something. From the shelf, she retrieved an antique bottle and poured its contents into a small glass, her movements as solemn as a ritual. The room’s atmosphere grew slightly heavier, and a quiet tension spread through my chest. Who could this guest be—her mysterious smile seemed to quietly conceal the answer.Having finished her preparations, she set the glass on the table and turned to me.
“You should wait with me. Our guest is someone special.”
At those words, the spiderwebs in the room trembled faintly, and footsteps seemed to echo from afar. The candlelight illuminated her face, and the darkness reflected in her eyes quietly spoke of anticipation for the coming visitor. Seated as I was, I watched her graceful movements, feeling myself drawn into the secrets of this night in the depths of my heart. The arrival of the guest approached like a creeping wave, portending a change in the room’s air.
